The Steel City Derby Demons' travel team had a showdown over the weekend with Cleveland's Burning River Rollergirls and came out victorious.

The Derby Demons won the match 168-144 behind strong jamming from Hurricane Heather and monster hits by Betty Bonecrusher.

"I'm so proud of everybody," says Bonecrusher, the team's co-captain. "We just brought it out and showed Cleveland what's up."

Bonecrusher says it may have helped that Cleveland didn't know what to expect from Pittsburgh, and thinks they'll be better prepared next time around.

Coach Stirfry, of Cleveland, says that even though Pittsburgh skated a great match, the sloppiness by his team was part of their undoing. Stirfry says he's looking forward to future matches against Steel City.
