North Allegheny announced the first place winners in the 2005 School Bus Safety Poster Contest.

Winners are, from Bradford Woods Elementary, second grader Lindsey Smarto and fifth grader Rachel Gliozzi; from Franklin Elementary, kindergartner Aimee Verardi and third grader Danny Ficarri; from Hosack Elementary, first grader Joie Feng and third grader Hayley Wyeth.

More winners include, from Ingomar Elementary, second grader Madeline Rollant and fourth grader Morgan Fisher; from McKnight Elementary, kindergartner matthew Dorsey and fifth grader Timmy Appman; from Marshall elementary, second grader Jessica Brandon and fifth grader Julia Simeone; and from Peebles Elementary, second grader Pranav Murthy and fourth grader Chris Como.

Timmy Appman and Jessica Brandon were selected as district finalists and now enter the state competition.
