There will be a Spring Salad Smorgasbord on April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Ladies Group of St. Richard Church will host a Vintage Wedding Fashion Show and High Tea on April 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the church social hall.

The event will include a fashion show of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses from 1907 to 2007, a tea party with wedding cake and an auction of wedding gifts.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $10 each and will not be sold at the door.

Millvale Franciscans Offer Hiking Retreat

Women between the ages of 18 and 60 are invited to participate in the Millvale Franciscan Hiking Nature Retreat Thursday, April 17, through Sunday, April 20, along the Appalachian Trail in eastern Pennsylvania. Designed for experienced as well as inexperienced hikers, the retreat provides opportunities for relaxing and making friendships.

Cost for the weekend retreat is $145, which includes transportation from Pittsburgh to the trail and back. Scholarship opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
