St. Richard

Our Lady of Fatima Traveling Pilgrim Statue will be at St. Richard Church through May 9.

There are two traveling statues in the world, one traveling in the Far East and this one traveling in the West.

The statues were blessed on May 13, 1947, the 13th anniversary of Our Lady's first apparition at Fatima.

The two statues have been transported through more than 100 countries to inspire people.

Cinco concert canceled

The ninth annual Cinco de Mayo concert at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, which was scheduled for Friday, has been canceled.

Stoneridge Church

The 9th annual 5K and 10K Stoneridge Race takes place on Memorial Day, May 26, at 8:30 a.m. The run is held at the Stoneridge Church of Allison Park, 811 Dressel Road.

Sermon series

The Rev. Gary Weston begins an extended sermon series Sunday on "The Stories Jesus Told" at Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St. in Valencia.

Each Sunday throughout the summer, Weston will speak on the various parables that Jesus told, beginning this week with "Sowing Seeds."

Memorial walk

Ingomar United Methodist Church will hold the second annual Memorial Walk at 9 a.m. on May 10, to honor the life, love and service of loved ones who have died.

The walk will start at Pie Traynor Field in North Park and will be up to one-and-a-half miles suitable for all ages.

There is a $10 fee, or maximum of $30 per household, and includes refreshments and a commemorative T-shirt.
